Presidents Report
October 2009
To the Membership:
It is with great pleasure that I have served as the President
of the Board of Marine Underwriters of San Francisco during the past 12
months. I would like to take this opportunity to now report on our activities
during the past year.
The Board began work on the 2010 Biennial Seminar and conducted
a Half Day seminar in the spring of 2009. More details of these activities
are highlighted below in the committee activities.

Education
– Sandy Inouye, Chairperson - The Board hosted a half day seminar Wednesday
April 29th, 2009 attended by 54 registered attendees. Speakers and

Website committee
– Cathy Hammer, Chairperson - We continue to provide relevant information on
the website. Cathy is currently working to update the site to make sure all
information is current.
Seminar Committee –
Cathy Hammer, Chairperson – The committee is actively working to secure
speaker, and completing the details necessary. The seminar is scheduled to
take place on May 6th and 7th 2010 at the Palace Hotel
in San Francisco.
Treasurer’s Report
- Peter Knowles reported at the August 3rd 2009 Directors meeting
that the Board was financially sound having approximately $51,000 on hand.
Lastly, I would like to thanks all those who contributed time
and service to the Board. This includes all the Officers and Directors and
the many volunteers who assisted during the Seminar and on our committees.
